The theory is simple: load color values for all pixels of the current frame to a 2D array, sample the color value c of every nth pixel on every nth row, draw a rectangle n*n in it’s place with color c. Rinse and repeat. Performance is in all honesty pretty horrible but that seems to be inherent in the processing.movie library and my ageing Macbook. All in all, a good learning and experience and we’re already working on new Processing-stuff. Stay tuned.

So, after spending 25 years in the cold north, I’ve decided to give Gothenburg a chance. It’s only a short affair, I’ll be subleasing an apartment for a year, but we all know those are the best. I’ll be arriving the 13th of August, wish me luck! /Richard
So, I stumbled upon this pretty damn addictive timewaster; it’s a rather rudimentary but fully functioning beat/music creator.
It’s got a TR-909 clone, a TB-303 clone, a tone matrix, a bunch of effects, a 16 channel mixer and fancy routing (you can drag your stuff around and arrange them in pretty grids. I love grids.)
To sum it up, pretty much everything to keep me from doing actual work for a few hours, and the best part – it’s online and based on flash!
Blänk, fine eurotrash from le north of Sweden, insanely satisfied with our previous efforts gave us a ring when a cover was needed for their debut album. Worldwide release date is set for August 27. We did plenty of retouch for this one along with some 3d.
The Knuckledusters (that would be YS Andreas and London DJ Funkhead Fred) have turned in a pretty massive remix for Tony Thomas, if I may say so myself. We’re talking serious summer tunage. Get your glowsticks out.
